Hi,

We have a user who's having a problem with file attachments.
Whenever she sends an attachment (most of the time it's an Excel file), the receiver sees that there's an attachment but when they try to open it, these things happen in random:
a) they can open the file but it comes out garbled or
b) when they attempt to open the file, it says "'file.xls' cannot be accessed. The file may be read-only or you may be trying to access a read-only location..."

Apparently, this happens only when sending the files from her computer. She said if it was sent from another computer, the attachments come out ok to the receiver...
HELP!

thanks.

Compare all settings of that PC's outlook with the working one. It is most probably in the mail format section. Mime coding or something like that. The solution is out there. [morning]
