Outlook Exchange server not changing 1

I have two exchange server 2003 servers on my network. I used the move mailbox function within Active directory to move all mailboxes from server1 to server2. When the client Pc's opoened Outlook, they automatically switched to server2. Now due to some instability problems, I have moved the mailboxes back to server1. For some reason, my Outlook clients are not switching back automatically, instead, they are giving an error saying the mailbox cannot be opened. If I manuualy go into my Outlook settings and specify server1, they open withoiut problem. No event viewer logs on either server are showing any problem. Active directory replication is otherwise working propely. Why aren't my Outlook clients switching back automatically?

Is Server2 still up?

Yes, both servers are up, but I'm not sure why that would matter. That was not an issue when I moved the mailboxes the first time.

Update: I rebooted both servers, that solved the problem. After the reboot, with both servers up, the Outlook clients are now switching properly. Something must have gotten refreshed or replicated during the reboot.

Could you say why? Is there a method I could have used other than a reboot to get things refreshed? I did go into Sites and services and forced a "replicate now", but that did not help.

It sounds like AD not replicating but if you did update manually I don't know. Anything in the logs?

No sign of trouble in the App or Sys logs. I guess I will just attribute it to the hard reset I had to do to server2 earlier that day.
