outlook error

I recieve this runtime error in outlook; Runtime Error!
C:\program files\microsoft office\office\OUTLOOK.EXE. This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
It almost looks like a conflict with something but not sure what. I haven't check the logs yet but I was just wanting a little help, okay, a lot of help.

Can you provide a bit more detail? Anything from the event viewer would be helpful. Also, are you using any custom VB Scripts or anything along those lines in Outlook?

Thanks guys,
this situation may be answered simply. After finally getting to talk with the person having this problem. I have found out they recieved the afore mentioned error when they were shutting down. There was nothing in the event viewer showing an error.

Latest update on this issue,
The person having the problem sent me this. I was told the receipient was having a hard time opening it because it is _xls instead of .xls
that was straight from the file: send to: mail recipient as an attachment
not from outlook : new message then attached.
Make sense to anyone?
