We maintain a folder for each of our contacts on a network drive. We would like to create a shortcut in each contact's MS Outlook XP record that would pull up his network folder. We can use a shortcut to a specific file within his folder but when we use a shortcut to just his folder, we get a fault.
Because the contents of client's folder are quite extensive, it would be time consuming to create a shortcut to every document contained in a clients folder, we would prefer to browse the folder and select the specific document we need. Incidently, the files in a client's network folder are typically MS Word or Excel files.

You could create public folders on exchange for each contact and post documents to each. That's how we use Outlook 2k, we have public folders with posted documents that are viewed in Outlook and easy to use.

There may be other better ways for XP, I don't know, but it works well for us.
