I read thread605-729226 and having a similar problem. I am running a Windows 98 machine with Outlook 2000. I have one folder for contacts but can only view them by clicking on the address book icon located on the stadard toolbar. I want to be able to look at my contacts by clicking on Contacts in the folder list. I do not get any contacts by clicking on contacts in the folder list. I do have the "show" box checked in the Outlook Address Book tabGo to the Outlook Address Book tab.
Can you help me figure out how to get my contacts to show in my Contacts list and not just in the address book?
Gr8 Thx
Sadie

I forgot to add that when I add a new contact by double clicking on contacts on the folder list to add a new contact, the contact is saved in a whole new contact folder when I view my contacts in my address book. How can I get the new contacts to save in the original list??

Your contacts are stored in a WAB file on your computer -- that's the Windows Address Book -- not Outlook Contacts.

Do File -> Import and choose the one that lets you import a WAB file. Do a search on your C: if you can't find the WAB file.

After the import they'll be in your Outlook Contacts.
