Windows XP PRo (all SP up to date)

Office 2k Standard (all SP up to date)

I have a user who is utilizing a 3rd party program which utilizes the exchange server to send emails once data has been entered into the programs ticket base.

Problem is, a message pops up:

Microsoft office is attempting to send a message

There is an ok button but you cannot click anything. It freezes up. We've cleaned the local system, checked for spyware, and viruses. We've whacked the profile and even re-imaged the laptop. Still to no avail. I've been told this is a registry issue due to an office update. Can anybody help or point me in the right direction to fix this issue? Once again any help is greatly appreciated
