I have a couple people in my office that can't print from any program until they close Outlook. If they try deleting the que, it won't finish deleting the que until Outlook is closed. Anyone have any idea why this does this and if there is a fix?

Outlook 2000. I didn't try the repair option only because I have seen similar problems where Outlook causes other applications to also lock up until I close Outlook. I figured this must be a glitch in Outlook.

This is NOT a common issue. Perhaps there is something going on with your exchange server or installations/images.

Try doing that and let's see what occurs. Also, more information on those other program problems would be nice. You're aware that Outlook eats up the RAM, so if you're running it on 64MB machines that also run Word, Excel, PPT, etc., you won't be getting very nice behavior. Minimum I suggest is 128MB.

Perhaps you need to get with a good cleanup program:

Perhaps you're aware of those steps, but I found that many *internal* helpdesk people are not.
