We're trying to set up a calendar in a public folder for people to book their leave into. What would be a bonus would be to automatically update the users calendar as well.

Is this possible?

I am currently trying to share the calendars on a closed network as well. Using Outlook 2000, the problem is that my customer does not want to spend the money to get exhange server, yet they want all the benefits of it. If anyone knows how to share calendars and have them work without adding a server to the network, please let me know.

Short of purchasing Exchange, there are companies that lease space on an Exchange server. This is a great option for small businesses that need the functionality on a limited budget. If it ain't broken, play with it till it breaks.

The only problem with leasing space on an existing exchange server is that this is on a closed network, no Internet connectivity at all for any of the computers is the company. I know, go figure, but thats the way the customer wants it.
