Outlook 98 Calander - cannot delete meeting

When you go to delete the meeting was was previously accepted I get the following error message "you do not have sufficient permissions to delete this item see the folder contact or see your system administrator" -

normally i can delete meetings - even if someone else setup the appointment and invited me to these
