There is meant to be a way to recall sent mail, by going to the sent box and using recall mail in the tool menu.

But on my system (with exchange 5.5) the recall option is missing in the menu. Anyone know how to get it back.

If I am not mistaken I believe the recall feature only appears with the message opened. Check it out. joegz

You are right. Thanks.

Sorry to butt in on your thread, but I was wondering if anyone knew whether this recall feature works to recall e-mail sent from one Exchange Server to another via SMTP over the Internet (e.g. between different businesses)?

Not sure about between Exchange Servers, but sending an E-mail to my personnal freeserve account and then doing a recall, if gives me another message in my freeserve account which says "..... would like to recall the message ....".

Not very useful.

The recall feature is only for the corporate workgroup and is not a feature for Internet Mail. joegz

Thanks very much, folks.

One last question - does the Preview Pane count as 'reading' the mail?
