I have a user who has Outlook 2k(and Outlook Express, which he doesn't use.) He was clicking a link on a webpage to email someone and Outlook Express was popping up. I thought the smart thing to do was to remove OE from the machine. So's I do, using Add/Remove blah, blah blah.
So's we goes to open up Outlook 2k and get an error message stating that it needs OE to run. 'Liar, liar pants afire' I yell and reload Outlook 2k to spite it.
Reboot, blah, blah, blah. Same error message. Unwillingly I run Windows update and get the IE6 SP-1 downloaded with the requisite updated OE.
My question is this, since when did Outlook 2k require OE to run?
