Outlook 2K losing connection to server

We use Outlook 2k as our client email and are connecting to a Linux email server(recently switched from M$ Exchange server) via internet email. Periodically users will be unable to connect to the server. Usually, shutting down outlook and then restarting will solve this problem, although sometime you may have to do this 2-3 times before it will connect. Most of the users keep Outlook open all day. This problem existed before the switch to Linux(it was worse before.)

Anyone know what could be going on?

I have the same problem, I use outlook 2k as client and connect to Exchange 5.5... did you find any problems yet?

I found a patch from Microsoft website seems to fix this problem,

Still no solution to this issue.

The patch above has already been applied.

Anyone find a solution to this yet?
