I am using Outlook 2000 as an email client at home and work (I just changed from OE 6.0 at home to Outlook for calendar purposes).

When I save attachemnts, Outlook always seems to save the attachments as read-only. How do I change this?

It is irksome to go to Windows Explorer and change the file attributes so that I can work on files at home. For some reason Outlook at work does not have this issue.

Any help that could be offered is apprciated. Even suggesting alternate email/calendar programs for home (Outlook is the rule at the office though).

I found an answer. My PC is part of a home network. I share the directory that contains these files as "read only". When I removed the sharing (or allowed full access) I was able to save without the file being read only.
