Outlook 2003 Will Not Start

I am using Citrix Metaframe XP. All of the applications work, except for Outlook 2003 throught Exchange Server 2003.

When a user clicks on Outlook, a connection dialog box pops up with :

Preparing to connect...

Connection Established. Negotiating Capabilities...

It runs the user profile script then disconnects. This just started happening since the last round of MS patches/updates.

Any ideas?

Yes I think you have encryption settings set. Search this forum for outlook and there was a recent one that fixed that very issue.

I found a solution. Our friends at Microsoft issued an Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4. Unfortunately, this broke Citrix.

You cannot connect to a Citrix server that has ICA sessions after you install Microsoft Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 is addressed in this article.

I uninstalled the Update Rollup and it worked again.

Thats the one, there is a fix to allow it using the roll up. If you search here.
