Hello, Tippers:
I recently re-rolled my home XPP machine, necessitating a reinstall of Outlook 2003.
When I had OL back up and running, its first send and receive saw it downloading 1.2GB of email, 99.5% of which would have been duplicates. I used a PST file when reinstalling which had all but the last two-three days of email.
(I bought a neat duplicate removal program a year ago, but would prefer not to have to use it to remove 5,000 emails/1.2GB if I can avoid it)
The question is, how can I avoid downloading the whole kit and kaboodle, and just get the last couple days? Is it something on the Outlook side that can be done, or is it a server side operation? I access the email administration of the pop server through C-panel--it's a standard Linux installation, and I don't recall the POP software's name.
Looking for any clues on this one. Cannot seem to find this addressed anywhere, and send/receive in OL2003 doesn't seem to have anything relevant to the desired outcome.
Many thanks,
NY
