I've seen this problem reported alot but haven't been able to get it to work for me yet. I'm trying to deploy Outlook 2003 using Group Policy. I've done an administrative install of Outlook to a network share, created an MST file to customize the install and linked the .MST to the .MSI file. After restarting my PC, I get the message that Outlook is being installed but it never does. The application event log reports several errors all based on the initial error in the sequence as follows:
"The install of application Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 from policy Outlook 2003 failed. The error was The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it."
I've tried various share and security permission combinations without success. Does anyone have an idea of what could be happening or what the proper access to the installation share directory should be?
Thanks
