I have laptop running Outlook 2003 as the email option. I need to be able to connect to three different servers depending where I am.

I would like to be able to receive email for all locations regardless of where I am and send the email from the location at which I am at.

Send email is biggest issue I have. In order send the email from a given location, I must choose that email account for the message. How can I automate this better?

I tried using Send/Receive Groups, but these don't appear to do much.

What I would really like is to select a location when Outlook starts and never have to worry about it while I at the location.

Any ideas.

Thanks in advance.

Create 3 Profiles, one for each location and set the to select on starting Outlook.
When you then start Outlook, it will ask you which profile to use.
Name them as the location for convinience.

That would be my recommendation too, but darn if I can find the settings were to do this. The only thing I get when double-clicking Mail in Control Panel is the accounts. How do I create the profiles and set Outlook to ask for profile when starting up?

Control Panel - Mail - Show Profiles - Add and then configure one.

You will only see the 'Prompt for..' checkbox when more then 1 profile is present.

Yes - if you have your Outlook configured to Corporate or Workgroup. Mine was for Internet Only, so I didn't have the option of managing profiles. Reconfiguring it required the CD but then it is no trouble to define your Profiles. The menus differ between Outlook 2000 and 2002/3 though, in Microsoft Outlook 2000, you clicked Options on the Tools menu to set the option for Outlook to prompt for the profile to be used. In Outlook 2002/3, you use the procedure described by Marc, i.e. going through the Control Panel.

To start the reconfiguring in Outlook 2000, Tools/Options/Mail Delivery and click Reconfigure mail support.

Your question was about 2003, so that is what I replied to.
You also did not mention it to be in internet mode although that makes no difference.
You can have multiple POP3 Profiles, multiple Exchange Profiles or even a mix of the 2.

You are absolutely right, I was on the cusp on deviating from the subject but I was browsing the forums trying to resolve exactly this problem for Outlook 2000.

Could not for the life of it find any options in Internet Only Mode for introducing profiles. Any hints?

OK anyway, one has to be aware that there are differences between the two.

Tek-tips is absolutely the best forum I've encountered. Kudos to everyone.
