I'm using Outlook 2003 which collects email from an Exchange 2003 server. I log into my computer from a separate domain to the Exchange server. When opening Outlook i'm prompted to enter my user name and password.

Does anyone know how to setup so that i am not prompted for the user name and password in Outlook. The account name and password on my login domain and exchange domain are the same.

I was able to do this when we were running Exchange 2000 by adding a key called Exchange to the registry.

Check your email client on the menu select:

Tools/options...Under mail setup/Email accounts/select view/change/more settings tab into security.

Thanks pQi but this does not work. I'm still prompted to login. I've a feeling this needs a registry change.

Here is what I would try if you have not done so already:

Plan A: Delete profile and recreate profile and try

Plan B: When connecting to the Exchange server, use FQDN name instead of just NetBIOS name and try connecting

Plan C: Check for the latest SP for outlook

Plan D: Uninstall and reinstall the TCP/IP stack

If still nothing after trying some of these suggestions, then you may need to check at the physical layer of your problem on this workstation.

Is there anyone else having this problem on your subnet?
