Does anybody know how to get rid of this for certain extensions? I've tried doing the registry edit suggested in the MS Knowledge base but it didn't work. (It was for Outlook 2000).

I would also like to know how to make attachments automatcally open when you double click on them. I have a user who dbl clicks an Excel documents and then has to choose to open it. The "Always ask when opening this file type" is greyed out.

Please help. Thanks

Close Outlook 2002 (XP).
Click Start - Run - Regedit
Go to :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Security
Click the right pane and add a new string and call it Level1Remove (watch the Caps!!).
Click OK.
DoubleClick the new added string and add values such as :
mdb;url;zip;rar;doc
These extensions will be allowed to pass to Outlook.

After this Fix, you may not be able to open them ,but at least save them.

Or get a tool:

The solution is out there. [morning]
