Outlook 2002 and attachments

Ive recently installed XP OS and XP Office professional.

Outlook was working fine at first but the kept hanging on me. It took me a while to realise that every email with an attacment was when it hung. The minute I clicked the email it would hang, no error messages.
The same is also happening when I send an email, the minute I hit the sendnow button it hangs.

I have uninstalled Outlook and reinstalled it but this made no change.
Can anyone help with this problem

Try reinstalling your TCP/IP.

Whatever you do, be nice to to people who helps you or try their best to make things better for you.

Its the antivirus thats running in the background. Update definitions and check. The last thing to do is disable the AV engine and send mail.
