Win 98SE, DUN, Office 2000 Pro fully upgraded and patched. Outlook will send mail perfectly, but will not retreive mail from the ISP (POP3) mail server. There are multiple profiles, but all work (don't work) the same way. Corel Central 10 Mail, which used to work OK, has the same problem (send but no receive). Netscape 7.01 works perfectly both ways. There are 3 e-mail programs because CCMail 10 failed, so I set up Outlook. Outlook wouldn't work, so I started using Netscape. All set up to same ISP (same smtp. and mail. server). Can anyone tell me what would cause 2 programs to have the exact same failure, and the 3rd work perfectly? Any help would be appreciated, I'd really like to solve this. Thanks in advance. Tom

What error are you getting in Outlook when you do a Send/Receive?

To: Lander215;
NO error message, althought I assume it's an authorisation error because it keeps asking for the password on that account, whether or not it's been told to save password. Over and over again. Thanks for answering.

Try deleting the account and create again.

To: MBLR;
Tried that, thanks, still not working. Tom.

Update:
More plot twists. Outlook and Corel CCMail 10 still only send but will not receive. Netscape 7 still works both ways. I set up Outlook Express with 1 account, just to see what would happen. It works both ways. Now I'm really confused. Can anyone please tell me how to get these 2 (or either) program(s) working. Thanks.

Are the username credentials the same between the apps that work and don't work? (probably you already checked that but just thought I throw my .02 cents) I agree with you that it sounds like an authorization issue. joegz

To joegz; Yes, they are. Everything is identical. Server names, account names, and passwords. NOTHING was copied over from one program to another (I was afraid of importing the problem). All accounts were created from scratch on each program. Go figure. Thanks.
