I have an XP Pro machine with Office 2000 installed on it. When the user receives Word attachments via Outlook, he can't simply double-click on the attachments to open them since all he gets is that quick viewer doesn't know what to do to open it. He then saves the attachments to his desktop then double-clicks them there and they know to open Word just fine. I looked at file associations and .doc is associated with the correct winword.exe. Just for grins and giggles I took a peak at his IE settings for programs and Outlook doesn't exist as an option in there. I'm wondering if this is pointing to a larger problem?
