Is it possible, using Outlook 2000, to connect to only a POP3 server and synchronize email?

Scenario:

We have locations in two cities. We have a couple of users that have PCs in both locations. They use a POP3 email server running Post.Office. They want to know if can they use Outlook 2000 at both locations and sync each PC with the mail.company.com server.

I can only find the synchronization option if you are using an Exchange server. Is syncing with POP3 even possible?

When you say 'syncing' do you mean have their inboxes have the same messages on both machines?

I believe you can select 'Leave a copy of messages on server' when setting up the pop3 account in Outlook. Then, whenever they go to a different machine, any messages which are not in that inbox will get downloaded but not removed from the server.
