Hi
Can anyone give some advise.
We use a 5.5 Exchange server with users using OL2K. Our remote users use the facility on the remote toolbar to dial-in to our RAS server and send/recieve mail headers etc. All work Ok.
We now have install checkpoint vpn1 and our remote users are able to connect to the exchange server, through VPN, as if they were on the local LAN. All is OK if they have a decent internet connection, but when they dont they have major speed problems sending and recieving.
Now here is the question. Is there any way of configuring OL2K to act as if it is only a remote connection even though it is connected through the VPN.

Have you tried having them not log on to the LAN before opening Outlook and then setting up Outlook to use a "Dial Up" connection that actually connects to the VPN (ie uses the VPN adapter and specifies IP rather than phone #)?
