Hello,

I am supposed to give someone else access to my PC while I am on vacation, but I don't want that person to be able to check my emails. Is there a way to add a different password to Outlook?

Thank you!
(running XP Pro/Outlook 2000)

Howdy:

Go into your email account and remove the password from your account.. Uncheck the "Remember Password" option..

Now, in order to access your email, they will need to know your password.

Or you can just remove your profile and re-add it when you get back. Are you in a domain model? if so you should just make him log onto your pc if you are running xp they won't have access to any of your my document files or email.

Thanks for the replies! Both sound good!

Royz - I thought your method would work for sure and the only reason why it didn't was because the user will need to use an Access app on my PC that is very unstable when it's not run from my PC and login (I know it's my fault - I just don't have the time to fix it right now). Once I fix it though - that will surely work for the next time!

Murray, if I use your suggestion, could I make the Outlook password different then my PC password?
