Hi all...

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer...

Is there a way to have Outlook 2000 use the IP address of the Exchange server instead of the name?...When I put the IP in while configuring Outlook, it changes it to the name...This is an issue with some of our VPN users...

Any ideas? AJ

I assume from that the users connecting via VPN are unable to resolve the Exchange server name - Have you tried to adding the name to IP address mapping into the hosts file on the remote user's PC?

Great minds think alike...I just asked a user to try that...

Will let you know how it works out...

Thanks! AJ
