Hi,
I have a client who is unable to delete a double entry that appears in his contact list in outlook 2000. Does anyone know which file the contacts are stored in or how to correct this. He is also unable to add contact list his global address book.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

For the 2nd part of your question:
Rt Mouse click on contact folder > properties > Outlook address book tab > check show folder as address book

Thank you,
The problem is the option is greyed out. I want to be able to delete the entire list. This is on a win2k platform using exchange server 5.5 sp4.
I have advised to try launching outlook in safe mode and attempting to do it that way.
Client has un/re - installed office, doesnt correct error.

in outlook, tools/services | select Addressing tab -- in the "keep personal addresses in" window, what is listed?

is double entry in the contacts folder (part of user's email account on exchange server) or in user's personal address book? contacts and personal address book usually don't have the same contents.

It part of outlook i know for sure its not stored on the server.. one of my questions was which file holds the contact info? I had do do a registry mod in our outlook configuration script a few months baack that corrected and error where it would do double entries every time a client would add a new name.. but we could always delete them.
