Outlook 2000 attachments recieved as .CAB files

When recieving attachments such as word, excel or any other format the attachment shows as 'filename.doc.cab' instead of 'filename.doc'

I only have one user who this happens to. Has anyone else seen this problem? I would normally try and have office repair itself or re-install, but this user is constantly on the road and will not be back home for another 2 weeks.

The only time I've seen attachments with 2 extensions was when they contained a virus/worm.

I found out what the cause of the .CAB for attachments. It wasn't a virus, but it is a side effect of using a cdma wireless modem. The wireless service compresses documents as they are sent down. A small cost for being able to be online almost anywhere.
