Hi guys,

I have a question regarding sorting/input of data in MS Access in a structure or rather automatic numbering in a Report.

Example:

1. Tools
1.1. Tool A
1.2. Tool B
2. Machines
2.1. Machine A...

I am a beginner user so please try to be simple.
Thanks a lot.

I'm quite sure it;s possible. I hate dealing with these things, so I don;t know the answer off hand, but it would be something to do with putting in a couple of controls set to = 1 with some summing going on, in different grouping levels.

You should repost this in the reports forum and you;ll find someone there who does this in his or her sleep.
