Can anybody give me a working example to dial outside using prefix 0.

I tried this before:
IPO soft 4.0
dial delay count = 3 (internal numbers are 3 long)
locale: Belgium (Dutch)

Shortcode:
0N
dial
N
ARS entry

ARS entry:
use secondary dial tone (+ in service)
N
dial
N
0 (line ID)

I have to delete the ? dial . code in ARS 50. If I don't do this, I can't dial an external number (eg. 0 011 29 91 90)

If I enter this number in the directory, it is displayed correctly. However, in Belgium, we can also dial "1200" to hear the date and time of day. If I enter 01200 in my directory with a name, and I dial this number then the name won't show on the display. It just flicks for half a second or so and then disappears.

Can anybody say this is the right way for dialing outside with a prefix and the ARS. Or if someone has a .cfg I can check those settings. I think there's a problem with the ARS, because I have to delete the ? code.

that then why it did not work well

but if you only have a system short code like this:

0N
dial
N
main

then after the 0 you have a secondiary dialtone
in ars make two shortcodes

1)

N
dial
N
0

2)

047N
dial
047N
2

this should work
as alternative you can use this:

1)

N
dial
N
2

2)

047N
dial
047N
0

there you change the line id and cover both shortcodes with the lines you have

also there is a system shortcode with the ?
remove this one if the 0N is used
also remove the 0047N system shortcode
the only remaining systemshortcode to ars would the 0N

it still seems when I use the last method (tlpeter), that at the moment I receive the 2nd dial tone, the line is taken. Nowhater what the rest of the number is.

So I press 0: after the dial delay time the 2nd dial tone is triggered and at this moment I can see (in call manager) that the line is taken.

So I'm affraid the option is to use the different system shortcodes.

Also suppose you have this situation:
numbers 047, 048 and 049 must exit over ID 2 and ID 3 as backup
number 0... must exit over ID 0 and no backup

Then you can't use all the shortcodes in the ARS...

Thanks for the help anyway!

N;
kiezen
N
0

047N;
kiezen
047N
2

048N;
kiezen
048N
2

049N;
kiezen
049N
2

dan maak je een ars aan met de naam : Main_ALT1

daar geef je de functiecodes

N;
kiezen
N
2

047N;
kiezen
047N
0

048N;
kiezen
048N
0

049N;
kiezen
049N
0

zo zou het moeten werken (zo heb ik het werkend)

tlpeter, thanks for the help. This method is working indeed.

translation:
dial delay time = 4
dial delay count = 0

systemshortcode:
0N - dial - N - 50:main

50 main ARS shortcode:
N; - dial - N - 0
047N; - dial - 047N - 2
048N; - dial - 048N - 2
...
.

Now, after you dial 0 you hear a secondary dial tone and you can continue to form your number. Once the number is completed you have to wait 4 seconds (dial delay time) or press #. So, this is a little too long maybe because you always have to wait this long before the system starts dialing. I lowered the dial delay time to 2 seconds and this looks ok. When you are entering a number you have 2 seconds after every digit you enter before you have to enter the next one.

Also, when you enter a national number (here in Belgium, I don't know for the rest of the world) for example: 0 011 12 34 56 -> and I wait too long after pressing 001112 then I can still continue forming the number. Only in some cases where I route the number to a simbox I have to complete the number (before 2 seconds for every digit). This is because after this time, the PBX sends out the number to the simbox for further processing.

I hope this can help other people too.

again, thanks for the help!

great that i could help you
