I am a Opt. 81 guy and recently inherited a CICS with a call pilot 100. I have a user that wants to give callers to his VM the option to hit a number and transfer to his cell. The only thing I have found is to forward to an ext. not a number. When I try to enter more that 4 numbers, It tells me "invalid" ext. I dont have much experience with this sytem and was hoping for some step by steps or a manual that would tell me how to set this up...Thanks for any and all help!!

it is setup in the VM
enable the outbound transfer in the users mailbox
the user can configure the # to be dialed (pager or cellphone)

Call pilot does have that ability.

First you must give the mbx the right to dial out in VM admin.
Then the actual config of it is done from the users mailbox admin. The most efficient way to do it with a CICS is to utilize link transfer from the CO, because if you use the CICS analog lines to connect the transfer, you will be using 2 out of your (maximum 8) lines, and the volume will most likely be diminished. However, with link transfer all your lines will be free, and the volume will be the same as any other call.

This is all covered extensively in the documentation.
