Hello,
Since having some problems last week linked to the DST update (public folder store would not mount, fixed via MS hotfix) I have also had another intermittant problem.
My outbound emails are getting stuck in my outbound email queue.
They do get sent out eventually, but I have to click "force connection" for them to go. They also go when I change the outbound connector from option "use smart host" to "use DNS"
This sends the emails out, then they will queue again, until I change it back, then they will go out again.
Does anyone know what this could be? there is no error message and nothing in event viewer, as the email do eventually go out. I have spoken to my ISP and there is no problem with their smtp server. Currently I have to change the connector to and from DNS to smart host to get outbound emails delivered. Inbound come straight through.
Any advice appreciated.

The DST patch caused us no end of problems. The stores wouldn't etc.

I recommend rolling that one back and wait for MS to release it again. I'm sure they will.

I did rollback once installed when the Public folder store wouldn't mount. Unfortunately that did not work. I then found this hotfix from MS:

Microsoft have posted hot fix for this:
The hotfix ignores the well know SID's and lets you mount the store.

this worked initially as public folder store mounted. Now I have the problem of Zombie accounts in the ACL list. These errors appeared in event viewer but related to public folders that were no longer in use (they were present in the folder list only) I removed these folders, but still email is stuck in outbound queue.
I may uninstall the patch now, even though I have installed the hotfix and see of that helps.
This update doesn't even affect me in the UK!! not sure why MS made it a critical update....
