Outbound calls take forever to connect using analog trunks

IPO 406 v2 3.1.56

I have just installed a 16 port analog trunk module and when making an outbound call the call pauses for about 12-16 seconds before connecting. I have modified my shortcodes thinking they were the problem. I have tested the lines with a butt set to verify their functionality. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

your system might be waiting for digit to be dial out or expecting more digit. N in shortcide will specify that
no of dilaed & responce from service provider will be indentified
