Outbound Call Recording Notice?

Has anyone setup an automated announcement on OUTBOUND calls notifying the callee that the call is being recorded? We are doing it automatically thru a voicemail pro module on inbound calls, but not sure if its possible on outbound? It would obviously have to wait to play the announcement until the callee answered the call... Anyone have idea's?

Isn't this a standard feature in VM pro?

Hit F9. I think there is a tick box somewere that does this.
 
It would normally only be an issue on analog trunks. On those, the system does get call progress signalling so it can't tell between a ringing and a connected call and simply has to play the call recording warning at the start. On other trunk types it will play the warning when its gets indication from the far end that the call has been answerd.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
 
So enabling outbound call recording, and verify the "Play Advice on call recording" was checked in VMPRO did correctly play the outbound "Your call is being recording" message. However - we are using a 3rd party PRI call recording platform; and not recording thru voicemail pro. Is there anyway to have VMPRO play the announcement, but not actually record the files to a VRL directory (since we are recording and storing them elsewhere?)

you could probably do somethng withthe wisper action
but all outbound calls would have to be routed to the VM first & have that transfer to the eternal number



Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
 
That's a good Idea IPGuru - I will have to play around with the Wisper action but that might be an option.
