OK let me remind u all that this is outbound calling. When ever a call is made anywhere from the system and the call hits a voicemail whether its a mobile phone voicemail or a home phone voicemail or a company voicemail the caller gets a couple of seconds of the voicemail greeting and then the tone to leave a message almost like the switch is dialling a # to skip the greeting if you see what I mean. all calls on this switch goes out over one trunk group only and there is no least cost routing or added digits in the route pattern.

Anyone heard this before.

cheers

Did you get a anwser for this problem as i have just found it on one of our swtich's

We had a similar issue where instead of going to the part where u leave a message, it went into the persons main menu of voicemail, this is the same as if you pressed the # key on a mobile.

We got around it temporarily by extending the digit max length from 12 to 13 in the ars analysis table for the specific numbers. We were told by avaya that this was a temp fix and an upgrade in software was needed for full fix.
