We ahve had a problem with our Exchnage 2000 server not sending out of office responses to external emails. This is the case for all users.

We DO have the out of office setting checked in the Internet Message Formats. We still have our old 5.5 server connected through the exchange connector.

The older server has always been able to send them out. This started after we moved to the Exchange 2000.

Any idea's would be great. I am at a lost as to why this is happening.

If you insist on informing every spammer of you email address, alternate contacts, phone numbers, date to burlarize your house, etc., then Q262352 tells how to enable out of office replies to the internet. They are disabled by default in E2K for good reason.

Well.... I appreciate the response but you didn't read the part that we have done what the article mentions.

I am not a fan of this but unfortunately in our business we need to inform our clients when their agent is out.

Thanks!

After you enable them, you have to stop and restart SMTP and the routing engine to take effect.

Thanks,

Yes we have. We actually since making that change have restarted the server a few times.
