Hi, has anyone had the message box - Microsoft Visual Basic ! Out of Memory
This appears when attempting to edit VB behind a form. Putting the database on another pc with a lower spec. allowed me to continue. This second PC is unreliable so need to get back onto the first one, asap. Platform is Office 2000 Pro, Win98. It works on win2000, and also on a very old laptop with little resources - and consequently very sloooo I am hoping someone with more experience than I will know of some setting somewhere that needs adjusting for MS ACCESS. I must say there are many pages of VB in use. Any ideas at all will be welcome. Regards Gary

I guess the easiest thing to do would be to close down any unused programs, that will free up memory, also, try getting a memory free app. this will help to keep memory free, and thus be able to run more in access.

Some more information may be necessary - I closed down everything and still the VBA was unavailable. When editing the VBA behind a form the whole project is loaded which explains why so much memory is required. What I don't understand is why the same database is available for VBA editing on another machine with less than half the resources. Any ideas? I'm still looking for some memory parameter to reset on the PC, in Windows or, in MS Access or even Office. Your help is much appreciated, Gary

See earlier post (181-89815) for an explanation. Hope this helps.
