Very new to OTM. Have had no training yet. Is there anyway via OTM to have a terminal session. I spoke with a NextiraOne rep and he said that I would need to download some type of software that's not supported by Nortel. Anyone out there know how I can accomplish that.

Thanks

If I understand correctly you would need to open the desired site, then on the toolbar at the top of the screen select overlay/passthru, looks like a tty. You will be prompted for a username and password. Use the name and password that is in the CUST information in OTM, usually ADMIN1 for name. Once there you can login to the switch as normal. There is a number of items on the tool bar. 1 will tell you what error code means, another will tell you what entries are available at that time and the third will bring up the load you are in. There is also a way to come through IE to get into terminal mode.

if you can't get to the term mode from otm, repost and i'll fire my software up to look up the steps.. mluckie has it right, but as usual nortel didn't make it easy.. term mode is the only reason we have it running at this site.. and we didn't download any secondary software.. just the otm install and we can get to the term mode from any pc on campus

OTM also has a terminal emulator. In the System window, in the Maintenance menu, select System Terminal. A dialog box with two option opens:
Overlay/Passthru
VT220
Select VT220 and a terminal session should open.
