Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if there is a way through OTM Telecom Billing for me to run a report of calls unanswered by a certain DN that get forwarded to voice mail?
Example:
All calls forwarded to voicemail 7841 when 8776 fails to answer?

Hoping there is a way for me to do this.

Thanks,
NortelOpt61

Not through nortel telecom billing. It's for accounting purposes only.

Tracking calls with OTM blows.

If u keep the raw CDR data like I do, you can parse into db and search that way.

Hello Pronei,
I hear you... I know that OTM Telecom Billing has a report for unanswered calls but must be configuring it wrong as I cannot get any results.

Thanks,
NortelOpt61

Well, voicemail is answered call.

If you want abandon call reports, you'll need to configure CDR to collect adandoned calls.

You'll have to add CLS ABDA on all sets.

Hello Pronei,
That's correct. I need to know how many calls went to voice mail when 8776 failed to answer.

Thanks,
NortelOpt61

The problem with that is your not going to see any kind of xfer or cfw records in Nortel Telecom Billing. You'll only be able to decipher that from raw CDR data.

Hello Pronei,
Gonna start looking into doing that now. Thanks for the input, I will let you know how I make out.

Thanks,

Hello Pronei,
I have never really looked at the raw CDR data before, do you know how I can tell the difference between calls that were unanswered and went to voice mail and the end user at that phone calling voice mail to check messages?

Thanks,
NortelOpt61

This is an example of a raw CDR record where a call comes in to DN 3316 and is Call Forward no Answer to voicemail:

Q 056 00 A001004 TN046F 06/12 13:46:11 00:00:00.0
&4231234567XXXXXX 000 000
& 000 01 2
N 072 00 A001004 3316 06/12 13:46:11 00:00:12.0
&4231234567XXXXXX 156.0.00.03 000 000
& 000 01 2

The Q record is generated by the ACD queue in which your callpilot answers with.

The N record is the normal call recorded generated by the PBX.

Notice that the incoming trunks, the CLID and the timestamp are the same, this indicates Call No Answer scenario.

the TN046F located in the Q record is a packed TN which in
>ld 32
NPR000
.conv 046F
=> 004 0 11 07 <- This is the TN that accepted the call on the Q record, which is a MGate card for Callpilot in one of my PBX's.

Need further clarification, just ask.

Do you have Call Pilot? You could use CP Reporter to run a report on the mailbox.

I think hoizy has the best answer. If you have CallPilot and Reporter, you can run a report to see how many times mailbox xxxx answered a call, and you are done.

Hello Guys,
No I am still on Meridian Mail... I appreciate your help I will take a look st see what reports I have in Meridian mail.

Thanks,
