I have an OTM system version 2.2. I want to replace all the Station Admin, TN & CPND information and restore it from the the pbx. The OTM book says to run the CPND reconcile first.. then run the tn reconcile.. but before doing either it says to do a "data retrival", the book does not have any reference to data retrival... do they mean run a full back up ?.
This system was neglected long before I took over, I am new to it, but find it does have its benefits, but it is diffucult to trust anything I see in there.
(I need to keep all the call records/database info)

I have read several posts and pulled this solution.

1. Rename the following files:
STATION.DAT,
CPND.DAT,
NAME.DAT in the Station Admin Folder: (c:|nortel\common data\ Site\System)
then resync Station Administration and CPND.

(rename them to what ???...do he mean delete them?
and does re-sync them, mean then run each reconcile?)

If this is not correct....
Does anyone have any detailed steps to delete and restore Station Admin/Cpnd/TN in Otm 2.2 ??

Thank you for your time !!!

rename as station_old.dat etc..
this way the views in cpnd and station data will be empty
no database file...then retrieve them from pbx and you will create the new database with old file name again.....
if you have a small site you can select all on cpnd and station data and do a global sync status change from trn to new and all new records can be deleted

Those files reside in the Station Admin folder. Rename the whole folder to Station AdminOld and start fresh. Next time you open Station Admin it will create a new folder with all the files.
