OT: remotely controlled FTP client

Hi,

I was wondering whether somebody knows about a ftp client that can be controlled via network (or better via Internet). It should listen on a specific port so I could connect to it and order it to download files. Ideally with a planned download schedule and the connection should be well-secured.
