OT: MS owns Mac?

Hey.. some (unreliable source) told me that Microsoft owns Macromedia, I've never heard this before, MM patrons tend to dislike MS.. And MS seems to try to clone MM in the webware market, and they're losing miserably:

DW -> FP
Flash -> Powerpoint

I don't know if there's truth to this but I've never heard even such a wild implication before.. Anyone got the dirt on this or is this guy severely mislead?

No, Microsoft does not own Macromedia.

I have heard rumors over the years that Microsoft was planning on buying Allaire/Macromedia, but it was just that - rumors.

All Macromedia needs now is to aquire possibly adobe, at lead ulead... both make good graphic software.
