I have had to reinstall NT4.0 workstation on a PC , I want to edit the OS Loader to get rid of some duplicated entries in the menu, how and what do I edit.

You edit boot.ini - which is a hidden, system, read only file in the root of C:. A normal one for single NT workstation looks like this:-

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Windows NT Workstation Version 4.00"
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Windows NT Workstation Version 4.00 [VGA mode]" /basevideo /sos
