Originating versus Functional Journal Entry

I have a BBF journal entry date 12/31/2003, when I view it in Functional currency the JE balances, but when I view it in originating it is out of balance by quite a bit. At the time of the JE we were not using Multicurrency, but had since implemented it before the close of the 2003 year. The funny thing is that when I pull this JE from the smart list or an access query, the debit and credit amounts along with the orcramt and ordamt are totally different than the Inquiry view. I have reconciled and run check links on the Financial series and have had no luck. Any suggestions?
