Hi, I hope that this isn't too confusing!
I have an 800# that terminates at a VDN on my Definity G3R V6. When a specific option is selected, the call is sent to an 800# at a 3rd party through a vector "route-to" command. The 3rd party is looking to route the calls received based on the callers area code, but since the call is coming from my PBX, our # is sent. We are currently sending and receiving the calls on T1s, but will be converting to ISDN PRI w/ANI this weekend.
I have been told that the ISDN Q.931 message may contain the caller's orignating ANI somewhere in the context. I'm not familiar with the Q.931 packet or how it would be captured and decoded or if it would even serve this purpose.
I hope this was clear and that someone has maybe seen this before. If I need to provide more information please let me know! Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you!
