Hi!

User has created other folders within his Mailbox, right at the top level, meaning not underneath/within another default folder such as Inbox, therefore it organizes in alphabetical order the new folders along with the default ones. This user would like to have the default ones( Inbox, Sent, Journal) on top & all other manually created to be on the bottom, etc.

Right-clicking the user created folders gives option of Moving or Copying but...it actually moves/copies inside another folder & not below another one....Any takers?

Thanks in advance mates!

Hello. Issue resolved

The user is running Outlook 2000 with all latest updates/patches.

Reas somewhere that the Folder List treeview control is alphabetical, and there's nothing you can do about that. But the Outlook Shortcuts pane can be in any order, with any shortcuts you want.

The default UI configuration for Outlook *hides* the Folder List, as a matter of fact. The shortcuts pane is, however, not hierarchical, but completely flat (as one would expect with shortcuts). If you have too many icons, then right click on the header of the pane (it says Outlook Shortcuts) and choose SMALL ICONS.

Maybe in Outlook 2003 the above is not needed.

Thanks!
