Oracle for web page

Hi. Do I need to learn Java in order to inplement
fields in a webpage that are accessing Oracle tables?
In other words, can HTML or Javascript handle this
or do I need Java? Does XML help in any way? Thanks.

You mean - to creat web applications with PL/SQL then try this oracle publication on oracle metalink web site (

You might consider using Oracle Portal, an easy way to create webpages which can connect to an Oracle database:
