I am getting an error when using an Oracle View which has a date column.
ORA-01858 non-numeric value was found.

This is really strange because the same query works in SQL*Plus and every other tool except Crystal.

I am using CR 8.5 with Oracle 8.1.7.4

I found the following link on Crystal site but it does not help.

Could someone please help.

Thanks,
Ashish

Having tested this problem further I did the following test.

I created another view on the original view and used only one column (non-date column) and still the problem persists.

Something wrong with the way crystal accesses the view may be? what am I missing?

Thanks,
Ashish
