Option Group to Set Criteria in Param Qry - How?

I'm trying to set up a reporting form for a large
dB. I've worked out how to use text boxes, combo boxes etc
for setting criteria but I'd really like to use option
groups.

The problem being I can't get the criteria field in my
query to pick up the specific option value. It doesn't
seem to respond in the same way as other controls.

I'm trying to pick up the variable (ie option box 1 =
true) and include that in a conditional (IIF) function, in
turn giving a value that corresponds to the field in
question.

Any ideas?

Encase a series of option boxes within a frame (looks like a rectangle with XYZ at the top in the form design toolbox) then pick up the value of the frame rather than individual buttons.
