Hi,
I thought I'd start a bit of a debate about images, with a few questions. I just wanted to get feedback from you guys on what you think about images, file sizes and loading times..
1: What would you consider to be an optimum file size for a image on the web? (I know this is kind of dictated by it's dimensions and intended application)..
2: What would you consider to be too large in regards to file size and load times? I'd consider that anything over 25kb is a bit too big if you want the site to load quickly..
3: How long is too long for a page to load? How long do most users wait before getting bored? Is 15-20 seconds ok or is the tolerance longer before the user just clicks off?
What's your thoughts?
Cheers,
Paul @ basepoint designz..
